WASHINGTON – Today, the House of Representatives passed the American Rescue Plan, President Biden's $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package that includes critical funding for frontline health care workers struggling with the mental toll of caring for patients during a once-in-a-century pandemic. Since U.S. hospitals were first overrun with COVID-19 patients last spring, Congressman Krishnamoorthi has called for resources to help these heroes manage the severe distress, anxiety, and burnout they have continuously endured.
