WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL-08) and Congressman Bill Foster (D-IL-11) sent a letter to the White House Coordinator of the COVID-19 Response, Jeffrey Zients, inquiring about why there are discrepancies in the volume of vaccine doses distributed by state, and how those discrepancies can be rectified. For example, Illinois ranks 35th in the nation for vaccine distribution per capita.
WASHINGTON – Yesterday, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) and Congresswoman Jenniffer González-Colón (R-PR) announced the reintroduction of the State Taskforce Opportunity Program (STOP) Bullying Act anti-bullying bill. The STOP Bullying Act incentivizes the establishment of statewide anti-bullying task forces to study, address, and reduce bullying in primary and secondary schools. WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi wrote to acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen regarding the latest allegations of access peddling and potentially bribery by individuals pursuing pardons from President Trump. In response to these allegations, Congressman Krishnamoorthi called on the acting Attorney General to launch a full investigation into all these allegations of corruption of the pardon process through the Department of Justice or a Special Counsel.
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi sent a letter to Christopher Wray, Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) – in the wake of the U.S. Capitol building attack – inquiring as to why the FBI never completed a report on domestic terrorism, which was required under the 2020 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). As a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, Congressman Krishnamoorthi raised the concern that a timelier presentation of this report may have aided in preparing for the siege on January 6th, 2021.

In light of the Capitol siege that took place on January 6th, 2021 and the expected riots during inauguration week, the law on weapons near the Capitol building must be enforced.
