Tours and Tickets

Prior to filling out the below form, please read the information below:

CAPITOL TOURS

The Capitol Visitor Center is open Monday-Saturday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tours begin every 10 minutes until 3:20 p.m. All tours, programs, and activities are free of charge.

Visitors enter through the Capitol Visitor Center, located underground on the east side of the Capitol. You can begin your Capitol experience at the Visitor Center by visiting Exhibition Hall, the gift shop, or getting a bite to eat at the Capitol Cafe.

For large group tours, such as school groups, we recommend submitting a request as early as possible to ensure staff can successfully confirm availability for all members of the group.

WHITE HOUSE TOURS

White House tour requests must be submitted a minimum of 21 days in advance and no more than 90 days in advance of the requested tour date(s). However, constituents are invited to request tours before the 90 days window as it allows staff to plan ahead and maximizes the chances of successfully booking a tour for your group as tour dates fill up quickly throughout the year.

Public tours are typically available from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, excluding Federal holidays or unless otherwise noted. If your tour is confirmed, please note that you will be assigned a specific time.  All White House tours are free of charge. The White House tour schedule is subject to change, with little notice, based on inclement weather or official use. If you have been approved for a tour, you will typically receive a confirmation and tickets 2-3 weeks from the requested visit date(s).
