WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Friday, the US House passed H.R. 6, the SUPPORT for Patients and Communities Act, a bipartisan package of opioid prevention, recovery, and treatment bills aimed at combatting the opioid crisis. Included in the bill was language originally introduced as H.R. 5804, the Post-Surgical Injections as an Opioid Alternative Act, which was written by Reps. John Shimkus (R-IL) and Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL).
