WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi renewed his call today for a full investigation by the House Oversight Committee into Gen. Michael Flynn, former National Security Advisor, and the Trump Administration's interactions with the Russian government.

Two weeks have passed since Gen. Flynn resigned as National Security Advisor to President Trump due to revelations of his unauthorized discussions of U.S. sanctions against Russia with the Russian ambassador. Gen. Flynn has still not testified under oath.

SCHAUMBURG, IL – Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi issued the statement below in response to reports that the shooting in Olathe, Kansas yesterday, which left two wounded and one dead, was specifically motivated by the race of two of the victims. Witnesses to the shooting state that prior to opening fire, the attacker uttered racial slurs and yelled "get out of my country" at the two Indian victims, Srinivas Kuchibhotla, who was murdered, and Alok Madasani, who was wounded. A third man, Ian Grillot, was also wounded when he attempted to stop the shooter.

SCHAUMBURG, IL – Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi convened a round table of policy experts and community stakeholders today from across the 8th Congressional District which includes Chicago's west and northwest suburbs to probe the issues associated with the possible repeal of the Affordable Care Act. Topics included the impacts of repeal on those with employer-sponsored health plans, the most positive aspects of the Affordable Care Act on patient health outcomes, and participants' concerns about turning Medicaid into block grant programs.

Repealing without simultaneously replacing the Affordable Care Act is still being seriously considered by influential House Republicans. Unfortunately, repealing the ACA without replacing it threatens not only the health of millions of American families, but also the health of the entire U.S. economy.
