WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi introduced the Public Service Appreciation Through Loan Forgiveness Act which would allow employees who enter public service to be eligible for increased student loan forgiveness under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi reintroduced the Presidential Pardon Transparency Act which would require that all Presidential pardons be disclosed to the public within three days of being issued. Congressman Krishnamoorthi's reintroduction comes after President Trump issued a wave of pardons to personal associates during his remaining weeks in office and reportedly inquired as to whether he could issue preemptive pardons for family members and even himself.
SCHAUMBURG, IL – Today, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi sent a letter to White House Counsel Pat Cipollone citing his concern at reports that President Trump is considering pardoning himself.
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi and a bipartisan group of thirty-two members of Congress signed a letter urging the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to update its guidance to ensure no vaccine doses go to waste. The Members state further that if no updated guidance is promptly published and distributed to states and localities, they will be forced to produce a legislative solution to the problem of COVID-19 vaccines expiring before being administered.
SCHAUMBURG, IL - Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi issued the following statement in response to yesterday's storming of the Capitol:
"The events that occurred yesterday around the United States Capitol were nothing short of insurrection. President Trump directly instigated these violent acts, and whether he is unwell or simply unfit, he has demonstrated he lacks the capacity to execute the duties of his office. If the President will not step down immediately, he must be removed from office by the Vice President and Cabinet through the invocation of the 25th Amendment."

The freshman class will be sworn in on January 3rd, 2021 when the First Session of the 117th United States Congress convenes.
