WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) wrote to Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. urging an updated briefing on the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)’s strategy for reducing heavy metals in baby food.

WASHINGTON – This week, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi cosponsored the Legislative Enforcement Against Setbacks from Harmful DOGE Actions Act (LEASH DOGE Act), which would require the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to submit a public report to Congress listing all its employees and advisors. The bill would require DOGE employees to remove the veil of secrecy and identify themselves as well as mandate disclosure of the status of their background checks, clearances, and any conflicts of interest.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (D‑IL), Congressman Gerald Connolly (D‑VA), the Ranking Member of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and more than 100 other House Democrats sent a letter to the heads of 24 federal agencies demanding that they clarify that employees do not have to respond to Elon Musk’s reckless and half-baked email and that nonresponses do not count as a resignation.
