WASHINGTON – Today, the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure passed Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi’s (D-IL) H.R. 1182, the Compressed Gas Cylinder Safety and Oversight Improvement Act, by unanimous voice vote. The legislation, introduced by Congressman Krishnamoorthi and Congressman Troy Balderson (R-OH), instructs the Transportation Secretary to enact regulations that ensure compressed gas cylinders produced by foreign manufacturers meet U.S. Department of Transportation safety standards and specifications.

WASHINGTON – This week, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi cosponsored the Legislative Enforcement Against Setbacks from Harmful DOGE Actions Act (LEASH DOGE Act), which would require the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to submit a public report to Congress listing all its employees and advisors. The bill would require DOGE employees to remove the veil of secrecy and identify themselves as well as mandate disclosure of the status of their background checks, clearances, and any conflicts of interest.
