WASHINGTON – Last week, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) sent a letter to President Donald Trump demanding he take action to address skyrocketing grocery prices in Illinois and around the country. President Trump campaigned on tackling these high prices, pledging to “immediately bring prices down, starting on day one.” Yet, just three weeks into President Trump’s term, egg prices have increased by 14 percent – nearly a dollar per dozen – and he has not issued a single executive order addressing avian flu and outbreaks of E.

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) blasted President Donald Trump’s lack of action to combat the rising costs of groceries during a full Committee on Oversight and Government Reform (OGR) hearing.
