SCHAUMBURG, IL – Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi issued the following statement in response to the devastating flooding taking place in the Indian state of Kerala:

"I'm horrified to see the loss of life and broader destruction caused by the continuing floods in Kerala. With more than a quarter of a million people displaced and hundreds dead, the human cost of this continuing tragedy is nearly unimaginable, and it is felt far beyond Kerala by countless families across the whole of India, here in the Chicago area, and throughout the world.

SCHAUMBURG, IL – Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi held a forum on climate change in Schaumburg on Saturday, combining expert presentations with open discussion. The Congressman was joined by WGN Meteorologist Tom Skilling, Professor Don Wuebbles of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and climate researcher Doug Sisterson of Argonne National Laboratory. Each panelist presented compelling research on human-driven climate change before taking questions from the audience with the Congressman.
