WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee advanced the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21^st Century Act by a unanimous voice vote. This legislation, led by Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) and Congressman Glenn ‘GT' Thompson (R-PA) passed the full House unanimously in June, 2017 and would reauthorize and modernize the American career and technical education (CTE) system for the first time in 12 years.
