WASHINGTON, DC – Today Congresswomen Suzanne Bonamici (D-OR), Elise Stefanik (R-NY), and Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) announced that the House has passed their bipartisan amendment to increase the number of women in apprenticeships and improve skills training.

The lawmakers, all members of the House Education and the Workforce Committee, are longtime supporters of increasing opportunities for women as a step to help close the skills gap. The amendment increases funding for Women in Apprenticeship and Nontraditional Occupations (WANTO) grants.

Washington, D.C. – Today, the Medicare Buy-In and Health Care Stabilization Act was introduced with the cosponsorship of Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi. A commonsense effort to create a Medicare Buy-In option for Americans ages 50-64 and to stabilize the health care marketplaces. The Act will provide a new option for Americans ages 50-64 to buy-in to Medicare thus avoiding the increase in premiums that Americans in this age group often face.

"Through this announcement, the President has made clear that he refuses to protect Dreamers and so now Congress must. The Administration's cruel policy includes a six-month phase-out of the DACA program, and Congress must pass legislation to extend this program and protect Dreamers.
