SOUTH ELGIN, IL – Today, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) joined with officials from the Youth Workforce Development Foundation (YWDF) and the Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) to announce the Apprenticeships Build America federal grant. Congressman Krishnamoorthi helped YWDF and AED secure the grant that was announced this summer by the Biden Administration.

ELGIN, IL – On Monday, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) awarded the Boys & Girls Club of Elgin (BGCE) with $1 million in federal community project funding he secured for the organization to make improvements to its Elgin Clubhouse. The improvements, which include greater safety and security features such as additional and updated security cameras and security doors with buzzers, will provide teens and at-risk youth with a safe and welcoming space.

SCHAUMBURG, IL - Yesterday, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi wrote to U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken to urge him to engage directly with the interim government of Bangladesh to end the recent outbreaks of violence, including the targeting of Hindus, and to bring those responsible to justice.

The resolution asserts that Americans must settle their political differences without resorting to threats or violence of any kind, even when they deeply care about an issue or opinion and strongly disagree with someone else.
