WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi and eight other members who have led a range of related proposals to ban stock trading by members of Congress sent a letter to House leadership and the Chairwoman and Ranking Member of the Committee on House Administration, calling for a vote on reform by September 30^th while outlining a list of first principles that should be included in any upcoming legislation on the issue.

SCHAUMBURG, IL – Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi issued the following statement in response to the arrest of a woman in suburban Dallas after she was recorded in a racist rant and assault on women of South Asian descent:

WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi voted to pass the historic Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and send it to the President's desk. This groundbreaking legislation will reduce health care and prescription drug costs, combat climate change, and lower the nation's budget deficit.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senators Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Mark Warner (D-Va.) and U.S. Representative Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-Ill.) sent a letter to Equifax, blasting the company for its failure to correctly report consumer credit scores and its delays in informing lenders and consumers of these problems – resulting in consumers being denied or charged higher interest rates for auto loans, mortgages, and credit cards.

WASHINGTON – Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi is joining Speaker Nancy Pelosi on a Congressional delegation she is leading to the Indo-Pacific region, including visits to Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, and Japan. The trip will focus on mutual security, economic partnership, and democratic governance in the Indo-Pacific region.

WASHINGTON – In today's Committee on Oversight and Reform hearing examining the practices and profits of gun manufacturers, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi questioned Marty Daniel, Chief Executive Officer of Daniel Defense, LLC, about the gun manufacturer's inflammatory advertisement of a precision rifle on social media, featuring an image of a sniper rifle on a rooftop trained on a parked car.
