HOFFMAN ESTATES, ILToday, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) awarded $500,000 in federal community project funding to the Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways (DOTH) to make improvements to a 1.3-mile stretch of Central Road between Barrington Road and Huntington Boulevard in Hoffman Estates and South Barrington.

PINGREE GROVE, IL – Today, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) presented the Village of Pingree Grove with $959,752 in federal community project funding he secured to upgrade the existing wastewater treatment facility. The funding, allocated following the passage of the bipartisan government spending bill in March, will go towards improving water quality throughout the village, maintaining its cost effectiveness, and helping the treatment plant meet the growing needs of residents.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) led a group of House colleagues in sending a letter to Dr. Amy Loyd, U.S. Assistant Secretary to the Department of Education, concerning the difficulties that schools are facing in recruiting and retaining instructors in Career and Technical Education (CTE). In the letter, Congressman Krishnamoorthi and his colleagues asked the Education Department to ramp up data collection efforts on this issue to assist Congress in increasing educational opportunities to meet workforce demands.

Donald Davis (NC-01) and Vicente Gonzalez Jr. (TX-34) in asking that the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) “ensure that plans and pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) do not charge direct and indirect remuneration (DIR) fees to pharmacies for negotiated drugs” available to seniors at reduced prices through the provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).

The six lifts, which are original to the developments, are coming up on end of life and will be upgraded to ensure they meet Clean Water Act Standards.
