WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL), Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL), and Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) reintroduced the End Tobacco Loopholes Act, bicameral legislation that will establish new federal taxes on e-cigarettes and vaping products. Closing tax loopholes for tobacco companies will generate new federal revenue, reduce public spending on health care, and reduce tobacco product usage, specifically among young Americans and children.

WASHINGTON – Today, the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure passed Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi’s (D-IL) H.R. 1182, the Compressed Gas Cylinder Safety and Oversight Improvement Act, by unanimous voice vote. WASHINGTON – This week, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi cosponsored the Legislative Enforcement Against Setbacks from Harmful DOGE Actions Act (LEASH DOGE Act), which would require the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to submit a public report to Congress listing all its employees and advisors. The bill would require DOGE employees to remove the veil of secrecy and identify themselves as well as mandate disclosure of the status of their background checks, clearances, and any conflicts of interest.
