WASHINGTON – Today, Representatives Raja Krishnamoorthi (IL), Tom Malinowski (NJ), and Pramila Jayapal (WA) wrote to President Biden calling on the President to support the inclusion of robust funding for global vaccination in reconciliation. In their letter to the President, the Members argue that this is necessary to protect Americans from the spread of deadly new variants, such as Delta and Lambda. Specifically, the letter, which has the bicameral support of 116 Members of Congress, including more than half of the Democratic Caucus in the U.S.

SCHAUMBURG, IL – Today, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi announced that $742 million in pandemic assistance, provided by the American Rescue Plan Act, is now available for small local governments across Illinois. This funding will be distributed to 1,250 small cities, towns and villages across the state to cover lost revenues, the costs of responding to the pandemic, and making needed infrastructure upgrades. Congressman Krishnamoorthi voted in favor of the American Rescue Plan, which became law in March.

Collins, to address reports that data on the SARS-CoV-2 sequence was deleted from a NIH database.
