WASHINGTON – In recognition of his “exemplary commitment to advancing the interests of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities in Congress,” the Asian American Unity Coalition (AAUC) recently honored Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi with the Dalip Singh Saund Award for Political Leadership. Congressman Saund was the first Sikh, Indian American, and Asian American elected to the United States Congress.

SCHAUMBURG, IL - The following is a statement from Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) on the unprovoked terror attack by Hamas in Israel. 

“I’m horrified by the images coming out of Israel after unprovoked attacks by Iran-backed Hamas terrorists. The United States unequivocally stands with the people of Israel against this gruesome terror attack, and strongly supports its right to defend itself.”

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL – At their 21st Annual Gala,  Leyden Family Service and the Start Here Addiction Rehabilitation & Education (SHARE) Program honored Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi as their Person of the Year for his dedication to “improving the communities he serves,” including by securing federal funding for critical updates to the SHARE Program’s facilities. Leyden Family Service and Mental Health provides a range of counseling, treatment and preventative care services for adults, adolescents, senior citizens, children, and families.

WASHINGTON – On Saturday, just miles from Mount Rushmore in South Dakota, the Franklin Center for Global Policy Exchange and the Ripon Society honored Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi with the 2023 Roosevelt Leadership Award, an honor presented in the spirit of America's 26th President, Theodore Roosevelt, and intended to recognize leaders who today embody some of the same qualities and characteristics that President Roosevelt displayed throughout his life and career.
