WASHINGTON, DC – On Friday, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi, Chairman of the Oversight Subcommittee on Economic and Consumer Policy, wrote to General Services Administration (GSA) Administrator Emily W. Murphy to request information on GSA's policies on the sale and lease of cars and trucks subject to manufacturer recall. This investigation follows Congressman Krishnamoorthi's authorship of an amendment which passed the House in July to ban the sale of recalled vehicles, though the Senate has yet to take up the measure.

SCHAUMBURG, IL – Today, following the deadline for e-cigarette manufacturers to submit Premarket Tobacco Product Applications (PMTA) to the FDA in order to legally continue selling their devices in the United States, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi announced he will introduce legislation to add transparency and review to the e-cigarette approval process. The Independent Advisory Committee Review of E-Cigarette Applications Act will:
