July 14, 2022

WASHINGTON – Today the U.S. House approved Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (IL-08) and Congressman Jim Himes's (CT-04) amendment to the FY23 National Defense Authorization Act to require the identification and implementation of best practices to determine how to track and monitor United States defense articles and defense services made available to Ukraine.

"As we continue to stand by the Ukrainian people in their fight to defend their country from Vladimir Putin's barbaric invasion, it's essential that we properly track the distribution and use of the aid we're providing the Ukrainians to help ensure weapons, supplies, and intelligence end up where they can make the biggest difference," said Congressman Krishnamoorthi. "By improving the management of our military aid to Ukraine and reducing any waste, we can maximize the impact of our war contributions to the Ukrainian troops on the front lines."
