Raja Works on Bipartisan Effort to Lower Cost of Prescriptions While Fighting Against Disastrous Republican Health Care Plan

WASHINGTON, DC – As Congress continues to battle over the disastrous Republican American Health Care Act, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi presided over a bipartisan hearing on lowering prescription drug prices as the leading Democrat on the House Oversight Committee's subcommittee on health care.

"Everyone's focused on the Republican health care plan right now, and while I'm actively fighting against that bill to prevent its huge economic and public health consequences, I'm glad we were able to hold a hearing on the increasingly unaffordable prices of prescription drugs," said Rep. Krishnamoorthi. "It's not enough to just oppose legislation. We need to advance real solution to our country's health care challenges and that's why I'm working across the aisle to lower the prices Americans pay for their prescription drugs."
