Raja Condemns North Korea’s Actions, Urges Support For Regional Allies, And Calls For President Trump To Tone Down His Rhetoric

SCHAUMBURG, IL – Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi released the following statement in response to the current tensions with North Korea:

"As tensions with North Korea continue, it is vital that we continue to stand with South Korea, Japan, and our regional allies. There are currently 28,500 American service members serving in the defense of South Korea, but our commitment to our friends extends beyond that. North Korea's behavior and actions have been reckless and demand a firm response. I urge President Trump to tone down his rhetoric and bring this situation to a diplomatic solution which will preserve the peace as quickly as possible."
