Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi Votes Against Continuing Resolution

January 18, 2018

WASHINGTON, DC — Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi issued the following statement on his vote against the continuing resolution proposed by the House Republican leadership:

"I voted against the continuing resolution because it's time to govern instead of playing political games. House Republicans are putting up the fourth stopgap bill since September, and we need to find a bipartisan solution that, among other things, fully funds multi-year defense and non-defense budgets, re-authorizes community health centers, and protects Dreamers. There's bipartisan support for these elements among members of the House of Representatives, but I'm disappointed that House Republican leadership is intent on bringing a partisan bill to the floor."
