Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi Presents Village of Rosemont with $959,752 in Federal Funding to Upgrade Village’s Sewer System

ROSEMONT, IL – Today, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi presented the Village of Rosemont with $959,752 in federal community project funding he secured to upgrade the village’s sanitary sewer system. The funding, secured as part of the bipartisan government spending bill passed by Congress in March, will be used to enhance the Granville lift station. By upgrading the sanity sewer lift, the village will reduce the likelihood of sewer overflows, improving public health standards and safety throughout Rosemont and the surrounding communities.
“Public health is fundamental to the wellbeing of our communities, and upgrading the Granville lift station and sanitary sewer system will improve community safety while eliminating major health risks,” Congressman Krishnamoorthi said. “I was proud to secure this federal funding to keep the residents of Rosemont safer and healthier and to keep its sewer system where it should be – out of sight and out of mind.”
