Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi Hails Unanimous Passage Of His Bill To Rename Bloomingdale’s Post Office The “Veterans Memorial Post Office”

May 7, 2018

WASHINGTON, DC — Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi today hailed the unanimous passage of his bill, H.R. 4574, to rename the Bloomingdale Post office in honor of America's veterans:

"I'm pleased the House unanimously passed my bill to honor our veterans by renaming the post office in Bloomingdale the ‘Veterans Memorial Post Office.' The sacrifices and commitment shown by our men and women in uniform demand our recognition and respect. This is a small step in the right direction, but there is still more we must do, including eliminating veteran homelessness and ensuring every veteran has access to the healthcare and mental support services they need as they transition to civilian life. I will be working with our Senators to ensure swift passage of this bill through the Senate and to the President's desk"
