Congressman Krishnamoorthi Warns Chinese Communist Party Against Continued Use Of Force Against Demonstrators

WASHINGTON – In response to the Chinese Communist Party's vow to "resolutely crack down on infiltration and sabotage activities by hostile forces" in the wake of the largest street demonstrations in the People's Republic of China in decades, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence issued the following statement:

"Despite the People's Republic of China's censorship, journalists are documenting the Chinese Communist Party's use of force, surveillance, and police brutality against the demonstrators. If the CCP does not de-escalate these violent crackdowns, it will face severe consequences from the international community."
