Congressman Krishnamoorthi Responds To Deadly Flooding In Pakistan

SCHAUMBURG, IL – Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi issued the following statement in response to the nearly 1,300 flooding-related deaths in Pakistan since mid-June:

"As the people of Pakistan continue to face the worst flooding their country has ever seen, it's imperative that the U.S. government sends humanitarian aid and support to both provide relief to the victims of these disasters and to prevent further damage. The connection between these tragedies and the consequences of climate change are clear, and it is imperative that the United States leads the way in reducing global carbon emissions to reduce the risk of such calamities."
