Congressman Krishnamoorthi Responds To Attorney General Barr’s Summary Of Mueller Report

March 24, 2019

SCHAUMBURG, IL – Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi issued the following statement in response to Attorney General Barr's summary of the Mueller Report's conclusions:

"The letter from Attorney General Barr reveals his own interpretations of Special Counsel Mueller's conclusions, introduces a range of unanswered questions, and reaffirms the need for maximum transparency that can only be achieved by releasing the Special Counsel's full report and the underlying documents supporting it. The American taxpayers paid for the Mueller Report and should be able to see what they paid for. Congress and the American people cannot rely on the Attorney General's interpretations and conclusions alone.

According to Attorney General Barr's summary, the Special Counsel's investigation did not exonerate the President. It is imperative that Congress have the opportunity to examine these findings in full while continuing our broader investigations and informing the American people as to what happened in 2016 and how Russian interference, and interference by any foreign power, can be prevented in the future."
