SCHAUMBURG, IL — Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi issued the following statement today:

"President Trump’s reckless approach to foreign policy is destabilizing America's partnership with India at a time when we need to urgently work with India and our partners to counter mounting aggression from Beijing. 

Instead of strengthening a growing partnership that both India and America have fostered for decades, Trump is undermining it through, among other things, eroding trade ties, delaying visas for Indian nationals, including medical professionals critical to our healthcare system, and embracing Pakistan’s military chief, who is oppressing Imran Khan and others.

Trump’s chaotic and short-sighted actions are pushing our partners away and weakening America. We need a serious, steady approach to foreign policy, not one that alienates allies and emboldens adversaries.”
