WOOD DALE, IL – Today, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) presented the City of Wood Dale with a check commemorating the $959,752 in federal funding he secured to upgrade the city’s water distribution system. The funding, which the Congressman secured in March as part of the bipartisan government funding bill, will go toward replacing outdated water mains and improving pump stations to provide better system pressure and delivery standards to residents. The improvements will also bring the system up to Clean Water Act standards while improving water efficiency and reducing waste.

“Every community deserves a modern, high-efficiency water system, and by updating its infrastructure now, Wood Dale is reducing the risk of future outages while improving the services residents receive,” Congressman Krishnamoorthi said. “I was proud to secure this funding for Wood Dale’s water distribution system upgrades, and I look forward to seeing the end result soon.”
